**Class 1 Teacher: 2026**

Ghilgai Steiner School is a small, well established P-6 school located at the foot of Mount Dandenong in the outer eastern suburbs of Melbourne.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Steiner teacher to take a small class on their journey through primary school.

**Selection criteria**
- A commitment to Steiner education, with qualifications or other expertise in this area
- VIT registered teacher
- A wish to discover and work with the unique aspects of Ghilgai’s curriculum
- Strong behaviour and classroom management skills
- Well organised with strong planning and documentation abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills with children, colleagues and parents
- Dynamism, initiative and a wish to contribute to the wider cultural life of the school and community
