**Job description**

**PURPOSE OF THE POSITION**: The Disability Support Worker will provide individual support to people with disabilities, using a flexible, responsive, and individualized approach to assist participants to meet their individual and articulated goals.

**SCOPE**: The Disability Support Worker will:

- Provide high-quality support that addresses client needs as articulated in their Plan and enhances their independence, abilities, community participation, and quality of life.
- Respect the personal preferences of clients in meeting their needs and encourage individual growth and development.
- Work in conjunction with other Support Workers and management to perform duties as directed.

**KEY RESPONSIBILTIES WILL BE**:

- Transportation of children to and from school.
- Undertaking domestic assistance, including, but not limited to, cleaning and light housework.
- Providing social support and transportation assisting members to participate in their community and attend appointments
- Shopping/Companionship Support.
- Providing support in the kitchen through light meal preparation.
- Personal Care (Certificate III Required)

**REQUIRED LICENCE/CERTIFICATIONS**
- National Police Check
- Driver's License w/ own vehicle
- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- Working With Children Check
- First Aid & CPR
- COVID-19 Vaccination

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $28.90 - $35.00 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
