Seeking Dedicated Female Support Worker - Rosebud

We're looking for a compassionate, professional, and experienced **female Support Worker** to provide essential assistance to a client in his late 50s living in Rosebud. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant positive impact on an individual's life, supporting his independence and well-being.

Our client enjoys **fishing**, and we're looking for a Support Worker who can engage with his interests while providing high-quality care.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you'll be responsible for providing personalized care and support, focusing on promoting the client's independence and facilitating his engagement in daily activities and hobbies. Due to the client's specific request, **only female applicants will be considered for this role.**

**Shift Times**:

- Monday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
- Friday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM

These are consistent weekly shifts.

- **Adaptability and Problem-Solving**: Ability to think on your feet, adjust to changing situations, and find practical solutions to challenges.
- **Patience and Understanding**: A calm and composed demeanor, especially when dealing with complex situations or communication difficulties.
- **Proactive and Observant**: Ability to anticipate needs, notice subtle changes, and act accordingly to ensure the client's safety and comfort.
- **Reliability and Responsibility**: Consistent attendance and commitment to scheduled shifts, understanding the importance of your role in the client's routine.
- **Respect for Independence**: Supporting the client to make choices and maintain as much autonomy as possible.

**Credentials and Experience**:

- **Demonstrated experience in supporting individuals with an Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) will be highly regarded.**:

- Relevant qualifications in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care, or a related field (e.g., Certificate III or IV).
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates.
- Valid Australian Driver's License and access to a reliable, comprehensively insured vehicle.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain one).
