**The Opportunity**:
We are looking for a proactive and motivated Transport Consultant / Traffic Engineer to join our Sydney Transport Advisory team. You will have the opportunity to work across transport planning and traffic engineering, providing input into a range of services including advice relating to land use / transport, transport demand forecasting and assessment, and different transport modes.
With your technical background, you will be expected to bring considerable credibility and professionalism to the role, and to build and maintain new and existing relationships with clients. The role will be supported by industry leading Directors and market leading Urban Design, Property Advisory and national Planning teams.
**You will**:
- Support providing high quality advice to government and industry on the interaction between transport, the economy, environment and community.
- Provide a range of services including graphically oriented reporting, technical analysis and advice relating to transport planning for all modes.
- Working alongside leading professionals on a range of multi-disciplinary projects, working to specification, to deadlines, within budget and with a commercial outcome.
- Engaging with clients alongside business leaders and responding quickly and communicating in a clear, concise and transparent manner to internal and external clients.
- Delivery of strategic transport advisory projects and other national initiatives that grow business and personal reputation
**About You**:
- Are passionate about transport and making better cities through evidence-based advice.
- Have an enquiring mind that thinks about how and why people move and wants to think outside the box.
- Want to learn from industry leaders in active and public transport, advisory, electrification and reallocating road space.
- A professional with 1- 4 years' relevant experience, ideally in a consultancy environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Transport Planning, Traffic Engineering, Transport Management, Transport Economics, Geography, Urban/Town Planning, or a related discipline.
