**About the Role**

Excel College Australia is seeking a passionate, qualified, and experienced **ELICOS Trainer** to deliver engaging English language training to international students. This role requires someone who understands the needs of culturally diverse learners and meets compliance standards set by **ASQA**, **NEAS**, and the **ESOS Framework**.

**Courses Delivered**
- **English Language Intensive Courses for Overseas Students (ELICOS)**

(Currently General English, with plans for expansion to other levels)

**Key Responsibilities**
- Deliver engaging English language lessons as per the approved ELICOS curriculum.
- Prepare and deliver lesson plans tailored to student needs and language levels.
- Assess students’ progress and provide regular feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assessments, and student outcomes.
- Support learners from diverse cultural backgrounds in a student-focused environment.
- Participate in moderation, validation, and professional development sessions.
- Ensure all training and assessment practices comply with NEAS and ESOS standards.
- Collaborate with the academic and student support teams.

**Key Selection Criteria Essential**
- A recognised **TESOL qualification** (e.g. _CELTA_, _Cert IV in TESOL_, or a degree with a TESOL major).
- A **bachelor’s degree or equivalent** in any discipline.
- A minimum of **1 year of ESL teaching experience**, preferably with international students.
- Knowledge of **ASQA** and **NEAS quality assurance frameworks**, and the **ESOS National Code**.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- High-level interpersonal and cross-cultural communication skills.
- Competency in using digital tools for both face-to-face and online delivery.
- Valid **Working with Children Check** (or willingness to obtain).

**Desirable**
- Previous experience teaching **General English**, **IELTS preparation**, or **Academic English**.
- Experience working within a CRICOS-registered institution.
- Understanding of **Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR)** levels.

**Skills and Experience**
- Strong classroom management and learner engagement techniques.
- Familiarity with NEAS Quality Assurance practices and continuous improvement.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and online platforms (AXcelerate, Google Classroom).
- Ability to develop resources and adapt delivery methods to student needs.
- High level of professionalism and commitment to learner success.
