**Create impact as a Data Governance & Risk Principal**

**Your Role**

As a Data Governance & Risk Principal for our Intermediated Insurance Australia (IIA) Technology & Transformation team, you’ll enable effective delivery and management of initiatives that materially uplift the data governance process and controls across IIA.

You’ll provide consistent risk insights related to IIAs data to the leadership team and support the uplift of data risk maturity across the Division by increasing business awareness and clarity of expectations.

**This is a full-time permanent opportunity, based in Sydney.**

**About You**
- Demonstrated experience and knowledge of risk management frameworks in insurance organisations.
- Knowledge, or experience of management and regulatory activity on risk management related matters in insurance organisations.
- Experience with information security controls and solutions with the ability to drive technical data protection conversations and data privacy best practices - highly desirable.
- Familiarity with IP, data management, data governance and data privacy regulations.
- Ability to work autonomously and maintain effective communication across different business, technical and risk teams with varying levels of awareness and knowledge.
