**About the role**

In this role reporting to Retirement Living Manager you will provide a combination of preventive/reactive maintenance and cleaning duties across our Golden Age retirement village located in Southport and Lady Small Haven retirement village located in Benowa.

Within your maintenance role, you will be providing minor maintenance services. You will maintain an inventory of equipment and ensure it's in accordance with manufacturer recommendations. Along with relevant record keeping and administration, you will ensure all practises are completed in a timely manner, including all planned and programmed gardening and maintenance. Within your cleaning role, you will provide a high standard of cleaning and reliable operation of different equipment. Please note that gardening has been outsourced in both the villages.

This full time position is split in half across our Southport and Benowa services, and you must be willing to travel to both sites on roster basis.

**About you**

You are a confident, competent all-rounder with previous experience in property services or seniors living. You will have a track record of being able to establish appropriate priorities and meet deadlines.

With your highly developed customer focus and excellent service skills you resolve maintenance issues as they arise. You have proven knowledge and physical capacity to use and maintain equipment as required by the role. Ever ready to provide support, you have a welcoming, accommodating, caring and compassionate nature.

To be suited to this position ideally you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in a handyman/maintenance role;
- Previous experience in residential aged care, retirement living, property services or community services environment is highly regarded;
- Applied knowledge of Workplace Health & safety requirements, or ability to acquire same within one month of employment;
- A current driver's licence (or ability to acquire same within 1 month of employment).
