Workplace Emergency Management is a Company that offers a quality service to our clients assisting them with their Australian Standards compliance and creating safe workplaces. We supply a full package covering Evacuation Diagrams, Emergency Procedures, Training and WHS Consultancy. We currently have the opportunity to add to our current team of dedicated, enthusiastic and motivated staff, so we are offering a full time position for a Workplace Emergency Trainer/Consultant.
The ideal applicant will have a genuine passionate desire for safety in the workplace, a positive attitude, be motivated and committed to grow their own knowledge and skills as well as help the company to grow with them. As we are governed by strict Legislation we have well developed Policies and Procedures which are required to be respected, while maintaining our relaxed and comfortable office environment in which you will be respected in return and given the responsibility to take ownership of your own tasks, while offering job satisfaction and keeping our clients happy by meeting their specific needs.
If you can be informative, fun, confident, knowledgeable and deliver our training in an entertaining and captivating manner that will be memorable for our clients and meet the criteria below, we want to hear from you.
Essential Criteria
- Be willing to deliver emergency response training
- Some proven Professional Emergency Service Background Volunteered or Paid
- General Microsoft Office Word, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook skills
- High level written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
- Willing to work as part of a small team
- Be able to work autonomously
- Current Australian Drivers Licence
- Able to travel to clients (Transport provided)
- Be prepared for some interstate travel and remote area travel (Approximately 6 nights a month)
Highly Regarded
- Cert IV Workplace Training and Assessment
- Fire Safety Advisor Qualification
**Responsibilities**:
- Prepare, deliver and develop Emergency Response Training
- Report writing
- Inspections of Workplaces for emergency management compliance
- Knowledge of Planning for emergencies in facilities AS 3745 -2010
- Site inspections for evacuation diagrams and emergency management plans
- Facilitating Emergency Planning Committee meetings
- Pre and Post Training Administration
Position will be based out of Queensland
Full Training Provided if you meet the Essential Criteria
Note: To start work you must have a current Working with Children card as paid employee and a police check
Please be aware that this job will require to work interstate and rural travel around 6 nights a month however there is great opportunity to travel more if you want.
