About Us
The Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal (VCAT) is a justice service that resolves a wide range of disputes for the Victorian community, including renting, planning, and consumer disputes. VCAT is committed to delivering an accessible service for all Victorians and is transforming our digital products and services to make it faster, easier, and more convenient for people to come to the tribunal.
About the Role
This role works very closely with the second Deputy Registrar within HRD and the Registrar of the Division.
The role has a broad range of responsibilities each day including:
- Managing a range of inquiries from internal and external stakeholders, VCAT members, staff within the division and other relevant users.
- Providing training and support to new and existing staff
- Developing and updating resources
- Provide specialist knowledge of the processes within the Division to support projects and initiatives currently on foot at VCAT
- Chair meetings and be the point of contact to relevant stakeholders
About You
We are looking for someone who is passionate about making a difference and really thrives in environments that are dynamic and complex.
**We are looking for someone with**:
- Experience in a community or government service delivery environment working within a legislative framework
- Highly developed people management skills and in developing capabilities in leaders
- Demonstrated ability to process high volumes of information with efficiency and accuracy
- Exceptional self-management, planning and organisational skills with demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team
- Experience working with people who are at risk or have complex needs.
- Proven ability to build strong relationships with users to understand service needs
- Adaptable and has experience in guiding team members through change.
