**The Department**:
The Department of Infectious Diseases provides extensive inpatient and outpatient services in paediatric infectious diseases, including those in the immunocompromised. The Department provides an inpatient infectious diseases consultation service to the hospital and telephone advice to doctors throughout Victoria, as well as having a significant commitment to training and research.

**The Role**:

- Part time (0.5 FTE), Parental leave backfill fixed term Fellow position
- 6 months, commencing 04 August 2025 - 01 February 2026

**You will be responsible for**:

- Being the first point of call for consultations requested across the RCH related to the diagnosis and management of infectious diseases and related issues
- Being the first point of call for provision of the statewide telephone advice service for internal and external enquiries
- Provision of clinical care in the outpatient setting in a supervised capacity
- Participation in antimicrobial stewardship rounds and other AMS activities
- Participation in out-of-hours on call service, under consultant supervision
- Attendance at Gen Med and RCH educational activities

**To be successful you will have**:

- MBBS or equivalent
- AHPRA registration and eligibility for registration in Victoria
- RACP (or equivalent) exams (clinical and written) completed
- International Medical applicants need to have a score of 7 or above in all bands IELTS test.
