The Actuarial Manager leads the end-to-end pricing of the home portfolio for this leading insurer. This includes managing data, pricing algorithms, monitoring, and implementation. The combination of solid technical skills and team leadership ability is the key to success in this role. Your ultimate responsibility is to manage key processes to ensure ongoing profitability whilst minimising financial risks.

The key elements of this role are:

- Lead and manage end-to-end pricing processes for the home product, including data, modelling, review, implementation, and monitoring
- Provide thought leadership and quality advice on pricing strategy, risk assessment and other price-related matters
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in the end-to-end pricing process
- Understand and communicate the expected impact of pricing changes to senior stakeholders
- Consider and evaluate alternative data sources and modelling approaches for pricing
- Ensure data used for pricing analysis is robust, accurate and delivered in a timely manner
- Consider and evaluate improvements to pricing infrastructure as it relates to data and processes, e.g. new functionality, alternative software platforms
- Manage and mentor pricing staff
- Provide analytical support and leadership of the pricing team
- Prepare and present complex papers for presentation to Directors
- Engage and communicate with necessary stakeholders for future pricing changes
- Define requirements and manage complex IT changes
- Create test plans, manage and sign-off testing for business wide IT changes that impact pricing
