**About the role**:
In the role of a Menswear Design Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the design & development of product across all men’s development brands. Reporting to the Senior Menswear, you will be responsible for providing administrative, technical & design support to the men’s design team.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Assistance in product development & style creation. This will include drawing detailed CADS & creating cohesive tech packs that provide fabric, trim, labelling and spec information
- Creating & maintaining up to date monthly range boards
- Managing incoming & outgoing parcels to and from suppliers & or photo studio.
- Management and organisation of proto samples, fabric & trim libraries & factory submissions
- Assisting sales manager with collating samples and setting up range showings
- Assisting with the menswear production co-ordinator on sample management for menswear brands.
- Handing over all design notes and comments for seasonal production handovers.
- Liaising with suppliers throughout product development to chase costings, sampling ETA’s and provide fabric & trim approvals
- Data entry & image upload for sales programs / system upload
- Writing e-commerce descriptions
- Assisting at ecommerce and campaign photo shoots
- Attending Fit sessions of design prototypes and SMS.
- Assisting with trend research across all brands
- Creating seasonal sourcing documents to assist factories in finding new fabrications
- Completing graphic artworks for labelling development, logos & apparel
- Completing small design projects, working closely with Senior Menswear Designer
- General assistance to design team as and when require

**To succeed in this role, you will need to have**:

- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design (preferred)
- Demonstrated 6-12 months’ experience in a similar position
- Proficiency in Adobe creative Suite (mainly illustrator and Photoshop), Microsoft office
- Experience of AP21 and File Maker PLM is a bonus.
- Competent understanding of fabric & garment construction
- Strong written & verbal skills
- Strong attention to detail & accuracy
- Ability to work pro-actively
- Good time management
- Strong interest & engagement with fashion, trends & design
