**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity available for an Assistant Designer to join our Nude Lucy Product Development team. Reporting to the Creative & Brand Director your responsibilities for assisting in the design & development of product across all categories within the Nude Lucy Brand. The role is a blend of hands on, administrative and creative tasks which will provide a cohesive and thorough understanding of the design and development process within a women’s apparel brand, with the scope to grow & develop further.

**Your key responsibilities will include**:

- Product development & style creation: This will include drawing detailed CADS & creating cohesive tech packs that provide fabric, trim, labelling and spec information.
- Completing small design projects across various product categories that are in line with and speak to our brand DNA, working closely with Creative Director and following these through from initial concept, techpack creation, fitting to final sample.
- Creating & maintaining up to date monthly range boards.
- Managing incoming & outgoing parcels to and from suppliers & or photo studio
- Management and organisation of proto samples, fabric & trim libraries & factory submissions
- Assisting sales manager with collating samples and setting up range showings.
- Liaising with suppliers & factories throughout product development to chase sampling ETA’s and provide fabric & trim approvals
- Writing e-commerce descriptions
- Assisting at all look book & campaign photoshoots
- Design & layout of range look books
- Attending Fit sessions
- Completing thorough product and trend research.
- Creating seasonal sourcing documents to assist factories in finding new fabrications
- Completing graphic artworks for labelling development, logos & graphic tees
- Assisting with retail tasks such as creating styling & uniform guides.
- General assistance to product team as and when required
- Adhering to critical path, meeting design deadlines + working closely with production deadlines.

**To succeed in this role, you will need to have**:

- At least 12 months experience in a similar design role working with womenswear.
- Tertiary qualification in Fashion Design (preferred not required)
- Proficiency in Adobe creative Suite, Microsoft office
- Competent understanding of fabric & garment construction
- Strong attention to detail, excellent time management, organisational skills, and communication skills
- A collaborative work ethic with a strong passion for design
- A creative, fashion forward thinker who also has a solid understanding of commercial design.
- A creative affiliation, understanding, like-minded aesthetic to the Nude Lucy aesthetic & ethos.
