**About the role**

As the Chapter Lead for Insurance Technology Full-Stack and Experience (FSE), you will lead a highly skilled team of Full-Stack Engineers specialising in React, Java, and Spring-Boot. The FSE chapter is pivotal in enhancing our capabilities and accelerating our 'Digital First' journey, a key component of our strategy. **What you'll do**
- Working with Tribe Leads and Product Owners to oversee efficient allocation of Chapter members to Tribes and Platforms in line with current and forecasted needs
- Recruitment, development and retention of Chapter members including career pathway development
- Providing an inclusive environment where Chapter members have freedom and safety to innovate, experiment, and learn from failure
- Accountable and responsible for performance management; overseeing, providing feedback, and developing Chapter members
- Manage team performance to achieve departmental strategy, targets, goals and budget

**What you'll bring**
- 10+ years of technology experience, with 5+ years in leadership roles
- Proven track record in developing, coaching, and engaging technology professionals
- Preferred experience in leading teams focused on API development (REST via Java/Spring-Boot)
- Strong understanding of React, REST, and API design patterns and best practices is highly valued
- Demonstrated success in managing distributed teams and partnerships, both offshore and onshore
