**Overview of the role**
Leading a team of Business Analysts aligned to Suncorp’s Enterprise Delivery Practice, this role incorporates both people management and capability uplift. As an energetic leader who blends deep technical knowledge in the craft of Business Analysis with a passion for coaching and developing people, you will directly oversee a team of Chapter members, who will be embedded in Squads but report to you as their line manager.
It is essential you have strong leadership skills, and be adept in all aspects of people management, from recruiting, developing capability and problem solving. You will be key in helping your Chapter members to grow and develop in their area of expertise and ensure alignment on the “how” of the work they perform in Squads.
This is a fantastic opportunity to gain greater depth and experience in people management and build upon your leadership skills, combined with your technical skills in Business Analysis to coach team members to be masters of their craft.
**What you’ll do**:
- Lead and develop a team of highly engaged Business Analysts by:
- Establishing rhythms and ceremonies to enable the effective running of the Chapter
- Leading and developing the team’s capability through to mastery with effective coaching, mentoring, professional development, and performance management
- Conducting Chapter member evaluations, providing meaningful and actionable feedback
- Manage Resourcing:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to effectively conduct Business Analysis supply and capacity management, overseeing allocation of Chapter members across Squads
- Identify expertise and resource gaps and train or recruit the talent needed to address them
- Identify, develop and retain talent in the Business Analysis Chapter
- Continuously develop and share Chapter expertise both within and outside the Chapter, including designing initiatives that will advance capability and maturity
**What you’ll bring**:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience leading, coaching, and developing people and teams to improve their performance, knowledge and expertise
- Experience with resource planning, recruitment and allocation within and across large complex organisations
- Deep technical and functional knowledge in Business Analysis is preferable
- Passionate about inspiring and motivating your team and enjoy both planning and execution with a ‘can-do’ attitude
- Commitment to cross-functional collaboration to achieve the best results for the organisation, strong team player Bring a data-driven approach to decision making, both in day-to-day management and in making strategic trade-offs
