We’re currently looking for a high caliber professional to join our team as Confirmations & Investigations Analyst within our Capital Markets Operations team to be based in Sydney. **In this role, you’re expected to**:. - Responsible for manually checking paper OTC Derivative and FX confirmations ensuring accuracy is maintained at a high level. - Responsible for matching swifts for FX confirmations via various matching platforms. - Responsible for setting up static data to enable confirmations to be send to the client. - Responsible for matching bank reconciliation and stock reconciliation items for all capital markets products i.e. OTC Derivatives, FX, Money Market, Equities, Warrants and Fixed Income - Responsible for all exceptions reporting and monitoring, creating a daily escalation report to escalate aged items. - Documenting all breaks with appropriate commentary working towards closing breaks - Escalating any breaks to internal trading desks, internal and external clients and management to reduce risk. - Comply with the ethical standards contained in the Citigroup Code of Conduct. - Understand the Settlement Process for FX and Derivatives - Adhere to firm policies and procedures, regulatory and legislative requirements. - Responsible for supporting the business unit to ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures, such as Manual Payments Policy and US Sanctions/Global Interdiction. - Understanding of general business and financial Markets principles. - Basic Accounting knowledge with a base to develop Securities accounting knowledge. Understanding of proofing concepts and Two-way reconciliation processes. - Minimum Software literacy of ‘intermediate’ in relation to Excel and MS Word. - Appreciation and understanding of the key treasury controls such as the importance and impact of unconfirmed trades or outstanding settlement reconciliation items. - Basic knowledge of core Banking (Treasury related) products preferred. - Ability to work in a team with a willingness to learn from others, share knowledge and accept added responsibility as and when required. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills. - Strong attention to detail. - Able to recognise problems early and offer suitable solutions for resolution. - Identify opportunities for simplification and streamlining of processes - **Job Family Group**: Operations - Transaction Services - **Job Family**: Securities and Derivatives Processing - **Time Type**: Full time - Citi is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
