**About the Opportunity**

We currently have an exciting opportunity to join the **Surgical Services** Division as an** Elective Surgery Booking Officer, **where you will be responsible for:

- Providing a comprehensive, friendly and patient focused service to patients waiting for elective procedures.
- Undertaking accurate, comprehensive and confidential data entry of patients being waitlisted for elective procedures.
- Plan and programme elective lists to ensure maximum theatre utilisation and patient flow with consideration to equipment requirements, Length of Stay (LOS) and age.

**About You**

To be successful in this role, you will have the ability to:

- Sound communication skills, both written and verbal including appropriate telephone etiquette.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Understanding patient rights and responsibilities and confidentiality
