As Manager, External Relations and Services, you will work collaboratively to provide whole of government communication and media support and media monitoring services. You will support the department, government agencies and Premier's Office to ensure the government's key priorities and initiatives are communicated to all Queenslanders and beyond.You will manage a team tasked with preparing and delivering written materials and information to support attendance at eternal events. You will manage a team responsible for the delivery of whole of government media and media monitoring services. You will support whole-of-government communications including responding to media enquiries and providing strategic and operational media advice.Your key responsibilities
- Manage and develop a team of communication and writing professionals, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment to enable delivery of high-quality communication materials that meet client needs.
- Engage with stakeholders to provide effective and timely emergency response communications and other products that align to government objectives and departmental priorities.
- Provide high-level strategic advice and direction regarding whole of government media issues and crisis communications.
- Manage the preparation and distribution of timely media reporting and analysis.
- Represent the department as a senior supplier for media monitoring services across government to identify and implement best practice models.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships across government and with clients and stakeholders.
