Established privately-owned Agribusiness in growth mode
- Design and Implement risk & sustainability strategy
- Newly created Australia / NZ (ANZ) role - make your mark

This well-established privately owned business has had recent growth in Australia and NZ with continued growth targeted. Priding themselves on providing the agricultural industry with a range of innovative, world-class quality products with a strong brand and consultative solutions, they are known for their customer centricity. Working at the starting point of the food production cycle, this organisation now has the need for the newly created role of Risk and Sustainability Manager.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a business with a focus on growth in both its key areas as well as exploration into new and emerging markets. Due to the geographically dispersed locations of their facilities, offices and teams, this role can be based anywhere near a major airport, however ideally Brisbane, Auckland or Toowoomba.

We are seeking an experienced Risk & Sustainability professional that brings exposure to identifying and implementing best practice frameworks and methodologies. You will be known as a consultative leader that can engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, business functions and locations. Bringing an “enabler approach” to risk mitigation, you will work with operational teams across the business to determine, manage and monitor risk strategies. ESG will be an area that you truly value and will have the opportunity to influence the future of this organisation, in all areas.

As a newly created autonomous role reporting into the CFO, you will be building the frameworks, systems and processes from the ground up. You will thrive in the opportunity to research, listen, analyse and design the requirements for this diverse business in the primary industry sector. You will bring strong communication and change management skills and be considered a trusted advisor. As a critical thinker, you remain calm under pressure and can provide solutions to complex problems.

Key elements of the role include:

- Identify and evaluate all potential risks across the business, including operational, financial, regulatory, reputational, and strategy. Engage functional leaders to develop and implement mitigation strategies and provide oversight on the execution of related action plans.
- Communicate, engage and educate all stakeholders from operational levels through to Board on assessments, plans and mitigation, with an emphasis on utilising data to develop meaningful reports to drive decision making.
- Continuously assess and conduct audits to improve enterprise risk management processes, tools, and methodologies. Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in risk management.
- Annually assess the suitability and completeness of the Company’s suite of insurance policies and negotiate cost efficient insurance solutions.
- Champion sustainability initiatives acting as liaison with the Lead Team to establish and deliver on sustainability goals and communicate to all stakeholders, both internal and external.
- Experience leading enterprise risk or a related field, with a demonstrated track record of implementing effective risk mitigation strategies.
- A proven track record of managing and driving risk, insurance programs and sustainability matters.
- Bachelor's degree in risk management, finance, business, or a related field. Post graduate qualifications in governance, risk and sustainability well regarded.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and assess potential risks in complex and dynamic environments. Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

Substantial travel through ANZ will be required in year one. If you are not located in Brisbane, Auckland or Toowoomba, a work-from-home scenario would be required.
