**About Us**:
The Operations, Maintenance and Testing (OMT) team deliver and maintain systems associated with the government's fixed road safety camera program. Within the OMT work stream, the Technical Officer monitors camera sites and equipment used for road safety enforcement across the State.
**About the role**:
The Technical Officer is responsible for managing technical issues in the network, liaising with Camera vendors and Testing Service Providers to ensure compliance with technical and contract specifications, updating and monitoring Road Safety Camera (RSC) systems and databases, and ensuring all work conducted on the Fixed Digital Road Safety Camera (FDRSC) network adheres to the relevant safety procedures and regulations.
Some of your duties will include:
- Monitoring and managing the enforcement of RSC systems, in line with technical specifications and contractual obligations.
- Engaging with RSCP contractors to advise and co-ordinate the remediation of technical issues identified during maintenance and testing activities across the FDRSC network
- Assess testing and maintenance reporting outcomes for compliancy and RSC performance, noting key findings and trends to proactively address technical issues as they arise.
**About You**:
- Well-developed monitoring and technical analysis skills, and the ability to provide sound advice on potential performance issues, preferably in a road infrastructure setting.
- The ability to investigate instances of non-performance by contractors, and to provide recommendations that will ensure future compliance with contractual requirements.
- Excellent technical problem-solving skills, combined with a demonstrated ability to collect, analyse, and present technical data, with a high order of accuracy and a fastidious attention to detail.

This includes evidence of **three doses** of a COVID-19 vaccine required by the department (from time to time).
Acceptable evidence includes:
- COVID-19 digital certificate (available via your myGov account)
- Your immunisation history statement (available via your myGov account)
Other documentation outside the above will not be accepted as evidence of having received your COVID-19 vaccine doses.
