**THE KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collate and analyse crime and justice data and information from a range of sources for research projects.
- Prepare and/or draft reports for public release.
- Work with agency data custodians to understand information collection processes to inform crime and justice research projects.
- Coordinate and conduct data quality assurance checking.
- Prepare detailed project proposals and agreements for the provision of research projects.
- Ensure outputs satisfy QGSO standards for integrity, accuracy and timeliness based on quality principles and methodologies.
- Support the Team Leader in monitoring and organising team activities including allocation of tasks.
- Liaise with data custodians and providers, clients and other stakeholders.
- Represent QGSO at meetings, presentations and working parties as required.

SUCCESS CRITERIA
To be successful in this role you will need to demonstrate:

- very good written and verbal communication skills
- very good data processing and analysis skills - high competency in R or ability to quickly acquire competency in R is highly desirable
- good organisational skills and the ability to navigate, lead and manage competing work priorities in complex and, at times, fast paced environments
