State Manager

An exciting opportunity has now arisen for a highly adaptable and inspiring person to lead the WA Business, Lawnswood.

**About the Role**

Reporting to the National General Manager - Pet Cremations, this full-time permanent position, forms part of the senior leadership group and is instrumental in driving the success of our WA business. Leading a team of 100+ employees and supported by a 3 person management team, you will share responsibility for overseeing the day to day running of two sites to ensure the effective delivery of pet aftercare services and ultimately the company’s purpose in “Honouring a lifetime of unconditional love”.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading through others to ensure all operational and financial targets are met
- Effective people management including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, mentorship and coaching.
- Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer service standards through a view towards continuous improvement and the implementation and adherence to operating procedures, systems and best practice.
- Collaboratively engage with other State Managers and national support team to ensure knowledge exchange and support joint problem solving.
- Collaboratively work with the senior leadership team to develop and implement the strategic plan for the business including goal setting and KPI measures.
- End to end profit and loss responsibility and achievement of budgets.
- Preparation and delivery of weekly and monthly performance reporting.
- Supporting the Relationship Management team to expand networks, grow client base and enhance the service offering.
- Promote and support a positive workplace culture around our values to ensure great employee experiences for our people.
- Drive a safety-first culture ensuring all WH&S policies and procedures are followed.
- In collaboration with the management team, ensuring the facility and assets are maintained to required standards.

**All about you**
- 5-10 years demonstrated experience in a senior management position preferably within a service industry.
- Prior track record in building and developing a team, driving positive culture and motivating for high performance.
- Ability to adeptly manage stakeholder relationships and ensure the highest quality standards of service are delivered and maintained in a growing business.
- Strong business acumen with proven results in delivering favourable financial outcomes.
- The ability to forward think, problem solve and manage change effectively.
- High levels of responsiveness and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced work environment.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business, Leadership or a related field will be viewed favourably.
- Leadership qualities in adaptive leadership to build ongoing capability.
