**The Role**
The Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Program is seeking an engaging EL 1 Vendor Manager to work with the ERP Commercial Team and be responsible for executing the supplier relationship steps and processes required to deliver, manage and implement commercial procurement strategies and end-to-end activities across ERP.

The role will lead:

- The development and implementation of contract management plans by establishing contracts, as well as monitoring performance and addressing non-performance.
- Evaluate potential suppliers using developed and agreed criteria to support alignment and understanding of the expectations and requirements of the engagement.
- Monitor and report on the performance of selected vendors to ensure delivery in line with contractual obligations and performance metrics.
- Maintain stakeholder and supplier relationships to identify and minimise risk, and maximise the value from the contract.
- Oversee governance of contracts, contracts registers and payment of invoices.
- Manage and develop a small team.

The additional payment is a Building Defence Capability Payment (BDCP) which enables Defence to provide a premium, in addition to the rate of salary otherwise payable under the Enterprise Agreement (EA) to some or all of the jobs within a critical occupation(s) or discipline within a workplace. Applicants engaged into a BDCP position must consider the following.

Should the BDCP be ceased you will be advised and your BDCP additional payment will cease.

**About our Team**
ERP is a major transformation program that will change the way Defence conducts business. ERP will integrate all the core processes needed to run the Department of Defence: finance, HR, supply chain, services, procurement, and others these processes into a single SAP platform.

The Program will eliminate hundreds of complicated and unnecessary processes, ICT systems and tools, and replace them with a new ICT solution. ERP workforce consists of serving members, public servants and contracted labour workforce all working towards delivering the ERP.
- Strong experience of successfully conducting a range of negotiations for supplying an IT focused workforce.
- Comprehensive knowledge of procurement policies and regulations.
- Effective contract lifecycle management and negotiation skills.
- Ability to build relationships with contracted workforce.
- Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Strong written, oral communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead a small teams.
