**Rehabilitation Support Services (RSS)**

Rehabilitation Support Services (RSS) is an established NDIS provider. We provide in-home and community support to people living with a disability with a strong focus on enriching the lives of our participants.

We work in partnership with and empower participants, their family and all support providers to develop a program to meet ongoing needs that will enable participants to reach their goals.

**The Role**

As a Casual Disability Support Worker, you will be liaising with a wide range of multidisciplinary health professionals including Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech Pathologists. Working as part of this team, you will support our participants in their activities of daily living, community access, therapy sessions and general leisure activities.
- You will provide attendant care and support worker services to individuals often with an acquired brain injury, spinal injury or physical or mental disability
- This role involves travelling between participants homes and assisting them with daily living and lifestyle requirements by providing person-centred care and support
- Shifts are customised to each participants needs, NDIS goals, interests, and hobbies

**Disability Support Worker Duties may include**:

- **Community and Social Access, **including support with transport and attendance to leisure or personal appointments.

- **Goal support**, including assistance with achieving personal goals and recording progress notes.
- **Mentoring**, including life skills, education and general problem solving

- **Personal care support work**, including assistance with showering, shaving, toileting, manual handling, and medication.

**Essential Criteria**
- Work Rights - Permitted to work in Australia
- NDIS Screening Check
- Covid 19 Vaccination Certificate
- Current National Police Check
- Completion of Mandatory NDIS Workers Orientation Module
- Current Compulsory Third Party Insurance on private vehicle
- Current Drivers Licence

**Desirable Criteria**
- First Aid Certificate
- Working with Children
- Manual Handling
- Medication Administration
- Completion of the New Worker - NDIS Induction Modules
- Certificate III and IV in Disability Studies or related fields
- Disability and/or mental health industry
