About the role
Reporting to the Lead Analyst, Budget Estimates and Outcomes, you will have a key role in the annual inquiries into the budget estimates and financial and performance outcomes including preparation of briefing papers and report writing. A key focus of the position is to examine outcomes achieved for the community in relation to government spending and more broadly protecting the public interest.
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with sound experience undertaking detailed analysis of government financial documents and monitoring compliance with accounting standards and relevant legislation and reporting mechanisms.About you
A key strength will be your knowledge and understanding of major developments in the economy, Victorian government priorities and Victoria's frameworks for funding service and infrastructure delivery. A deep understanding of relevant legislative and reporting mechanisms, including financial accounting policies and practices affecting the Victorian Budget will be regarded highly. Why join us?
