THE ROLE
Reporting to the Manager, Reporting and Coordination, the Budget, Reporting and Coordination Officer works collaboratively within a team to coordinate and provide advice on corporate, budget, governance and financial matters.
The Budget, Reporting and Coordination Officer will be responsible for leading the coordination of corporate and budget reporting across the Fairer Victoria, Engagement and Coordination division, requiring a detailed understanding of corporate and budget reporting processes and policy requirements. The position also assists with the provision of financial information and advice, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations relating to financial management.
Working closely with the Manager, Reporting and Coordination, the position will develop and coordinate corporate and financial reporting processes to ensure Fairer Victoria, Engagement and Coordination operates effectively and efficiently. The position will communicate with Fairer Victoria, Engagement and Coordination executives and managers to coordinate reporting activity, including Fairer Victoria, Engagement and Coordination 's input into the Department of Families, Fairness and Housing (DFFH) Annual Report, Public Accounts and Estimates Committee briefings, BP3 reporting, election commitment reporting. The position will also collaborate with other areas of DFFH and other key stakeholders as required to ensure Fairer Victoria, Engagement and Coordination complies with its reporting requirements.
ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE

- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, budget models and forward estimates to provide clear insight into the financial position and performance of business units.
- Progress end-of-month and end-of-financial year processes including the preparation of journals, accruals, prepayment, reconciliations, financial reviews and reporting.
- Work with business units to ensure reliable financial data is maintained through accurate analysis of transaction reports, appropriate month end adjustments and general ledger journals.
