Cost Analyst Role Summary

A cost analyst plays a vital role in delivering financial analysis and management support across production at our site. This includes preparing accurate estimates and forecasts, analysing production costs, and ensuring effective budget control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts for project planning and management
  • Analyse production costs, identify variances, and recommend corrective actions to ensure projects stay on track
  • Provide regular cost reporting and performance analysis
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to gather and analyse financial data, identify trends, and provide insights
  • Implement and maintain effective cost control systems and processes

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience of cost/project accounting within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, budgeting, financial and variance analysis
  • Proficiency in using financial software and data analysis tools, such as SAP, Excel
  • Excellent problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and concisely to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
