Our client - Main Beach Travel, is based on Queensland’s Gold Coast is a well-established, multi-award-winning family-owned business. Those awards include being recognised as ‘Australia’s Best Travel Agency (single location) at the NTIA Awards in both 2018 & 2019.

The agency is IATA and ATAS accredited, and a member of Virtuoso & CT Partners. The agency specialises in high-end leisure travel including a strong cruise market, in addition to a significant footprint in the Groups/MICE sectors. With approx. 15 office-based staff and a similar number of home-based independent contractors, the agency is well known and well respected in the industry.

They are currently looking for an experienced Group Travel/MICE Specialist/Advisor to join the team. The role can be based in their office on the Gold Coast, or WFH or hybrid, depending on experience. The role will report to the General Manager Operations.

**MAIN DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Work collaboratively as part of a small team specialising is handling group and individual travel arrangements for key clients, primarily in the MICE/SME Corporate sectors.
- The role will include all aspects of the above, including providing quotes, booking air and ground arrangements, holding, and managing group allocations with airlines and ground suppliers, quoting and selling travel insurance.
- It will include issuing airline tickets and EMD’s, managing changes and refunds, and ensuring that the financials on all relevant files are kept up to date and managed in line with company policies and procedures.
- The role requires liaising and maintaining good relationships with airlines and other suppliers.
- The role may require the booking of some leisure travel on occasion.

**SKILLS & EXPERIENCE**:

- Minimum 3 years industry experience with at least 1 year working with group travel.
- GDS (Amadeus preferred but not essential).
- Tramada strongly preferred.
- Excel spreadsheet minimum intermediate level skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
- Organised and able to meet deadlines.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team, plus the ability to work unsupervised for extended periods

**This role requires a current passport and the ability to travel both domestically and international.**

**This role may require out-of-hours work (incl. weekends) according to varying demands.**
