**About the role**:
We are looking for a full-time permanent Strategy Analyst to collaborate with Alinta Energy’s retail markets team to develop and implement national pricing and product strategy across the retail business. The role plays a pivotal role in balancing financial and market objectives of the business.

As part of the role you will be required to perform desk top research to identify market trends and competitor strategies; prepare, use and maintain a number of financial evaluation models and management reports; interrogate and manipulate large sets of business data (e.g. customer trends, sales results) and succinctly interpret and convey complex ideas to stakeholders via visual and verbal presentation methods.

**Duties**:

- Develop and implement Alinta’s national pricing and product strategy across the retail business
- Identify market trends and competitor strategies
- Succinctly interpret and convey complex ideas to stakeholders via visual and verbal presentation methods
- Prepare, use, and maintain existing financial evaluation models and reports
- Support strategic business cases by balancing the financial and market objectives of the business

**Skills and experience**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in mathematics, economics, accounting or other relevant critical thinking discipline with a strong numerical focus and an understanding of accounting, finance and legal principles
- Prior experience in a similar analytical role including market analysis, financial modelling, and presenting insights from data to key stakeholders
- Intermediate to advanced Excel, SQL and Tableau proficiency with an ability to handle and manipulate large data sets
- Highly developed ability to navigate collaboratively working with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- A positive and flexible attitude, enjoy being empowered to work autonomously with stakeholders to create solutions

This is a great opportunity for an experienced strategy analyst who has a strong interest to work in the Energy industry during a time of rapid change in the retail energy landscape. You will be a key member of the Retail team and have exposure and oversight to a diverse range of real-time commercial matters.
