**Job Description**:
**Team Summary**

The Strategy team is a diverse team, where all new fresh ideas and thoughts are encouraged by the team. Strategy Team has a broad range of stakeholders across the business, including active involvement with the AuNZSP leadership team. All these different perspectives across the business are critical building blocks to deliver strategic outcomes that are in the best interest of Visa and the payments ecosystem. While supporting strategy will be the primary objective of the role, this role will form part of an analyst community who support Finance, Merchant Services and Acquiring, Product and Sales as part of broader business priorities.

**What a Strategy Analyst does at Visa**:
In this role, you are expected to:

- Have a demonstrated curiosity for payments
- Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to deliver outcomes in complex environments
- A sense of curiosity to become an expert in retrieving data from the Visa Data Systems to ensure the right metrics are sourced to inform decision making
- Ensure that data is saved in a way where queries can be re-run and distributed to stakeholders for simple consumption
- Ability to translate data into insights and recommendations, with ability to communication complex matters simply
- Own and develop financial models that will support business decisions
- Bring a growth mindset - where you have a passion for continued learning to ensure that the way we source, store, and share data is best practice
- Be disciplined and accountable in terms of owning key deliverables and managing expectations to deliver on time
- Ensure robust processes are followed to maintain the quality of different data models.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office two days a week, Tuesdays and Wednesdays with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% of the time based on business needs.

**Qualifications**:
What you will need:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Analytics, Data Science or a related data field
- 5+ years of working experience of working with data
- Proficiency in basic excel functions such as Pivot Tables, Graphs and Charts
- Demonstrated ability to manage time and prioritize projects to meet deadlines
- Excellent critical thinking skills to help solve business problems and make decisions
- High attention to detail and methodology to ensure accuracy is a key outcome of financial modelling
- General knowledge of business operations, objectives, strategies, process, and information flow
- Exemplary English communication skills (written and verbal) to effectively communicate data to co-workers
- Cross-cultural and diverse teams' collaboration and partnership

What will also help:

- Experience in Payments with bonus points assigned for understanding interchange for both Issuers and Acquirers
- Experience in dashboarding and data visualisation tools such as Tableau and PowerBI
- Experience in manipulating data (experience with SQL, VBA Macros and Power Queries R and Python) would be considered favourably

- Support strategic initiatives by providing data driven analysis for Business Focus Areas
- Collaborate with AuNZSP teams to provide cross functional support for key strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with regional interchange and pricing teams to develop market interchange and pricing proposals
