**Your role**
- The role of the Associate Portfolio Manager - Fixed Income is primarily to support the Head Global IM Australia in the management of the direct AUD Investment Grade mandates, which form an important component of the discretionary mandate business. This will involve monitoring positions and identifying opportunities across the various factors that are relevant for bond portfolio management (duration, spread duration, duration times spread, sector exposures, yield curve exposures, capital structure exposure etc.).

You will ensure portfolios are aligned to strategy and contribute to the strong performance of the mandates. You will provide insights with respect to swap spread valuations, credit spread evolution, yield curve dynamics and the various segments of the AUD bond market. You will produce analysis that informs bond portfolio strategy and positioning. You will gain familiarity and knowledge of the bond market and its drivers.

You will also contribute to trade modelling across the multi-asset portfolios to ensure alignment with the UBS House View with respect to instrument selection and TAA. You will support the marketing effort with regards premium fixed income mandates through the preparation of material and engagement with client advisors.

- The Australian Discretionary Portfolio Management team sits within CIO Global Investment Management and manages portfolios on a discretionary basis for private clients, including High and Ultra-High Net-Worth Individuals, not for profits and small to medium institutions. Our Portfolio Management services combine local expertise with our access to global research, global products and global expertise to deliver quality wealth management solutions.

**Your expertise**
- 3 to 5 years experience in a simlair position
- Strong quantitative ability
- Ability to collaborate with internal stakeholders across a large number of different teams, as well as work independently
- Ability to thrive in a high-pressure environment and prioritize various tasks
- High levels of initiative, strong willingness to collaborate and assist the investment team in delivering the highest possible levels of standards for the benefit of client portfolios
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Good attention to detail and analytical skills
- University degree in finance, economics, econometrics, maths, or related discipline
- Genuine interest and curiosity in financial markets and portfolio management, in particular fixed income markets
