**About the Opportunity**
The Leisure Marketing team is accountable for driving acquisition and strengthening relationships with existing customers. The Leisure Marketing team is responsible for developing and delivering the strategic marketing plan across the Leisure portfolio. This includes proposition development, media strategy development/optimisation and customer acquisition/retention effectiveness across an integrated channel mix.
Reporting to the Marketing Manager Travel & Experiences, the Marketing Lead - Travel & Experiences is integral to the team providing support to the Marketing Manager on key programs of work and taking the lead on a number of projects pertaining to T&E product portfolio and leisure campaigns in particular.

You’ll be instrumental in ensuring our Leisure Marketing team delivers exceptional service. Here’s a glimpse of what you’ll be doing:
- Develop marketing communications plans and briefs (under guidance, where appropriate), which facilitate operational planning (and implementation), the media & creative development process (agency side) and fulfilment (eg: mailing houses, media agency).
- Lead the strategic development of Travel & Experiences marketing programs including partner marketing plans, tours, cruises and hotel packages, local area marketing, travel expo events, travel insurance, IDPs, tickets and attractions, car hire and destination campaigns.
- Manage the production of campaign elements, ensuring appropriate sign-off from relevant parties including product, legal and compliance sign-off.
- Lead go to market channel plans across paid, owned and earned media to ensure activity is in the right place and the right time, with a focus on optimisations based on performance
- Support the Marketing Manager in executing certain campaign elements.
- Develop collateral as appropriate to support our Leisure portfolio
- Track campaign progress, continually optimise and refine (as necessary), and report performance across lead indicators on a weekly basis (across all distributors).
- Demonstrate creative excellence and generate effective outcomes across all communication mediums.
- Effectively manage allocated budgets and ensure regular and accurate budget tracking.
- Deliver campaigns on time and on budget, ensuring campaign targets are met.
- Realise tangible business improvement opportunities from campaign activity
- Support Marketing Managers with Post Implementation Reviews.
- Support and lead Marketing Consultant/Coordinator through role model behaviours and coaching in best practice campaign management.
- Capture key learnings and complete / input into the overall PIR to ensure future activity leverages key learnings.
**What you’ll need to be successful**
- 7+ years experience in campaign management including through the line mediums
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or similar qualification.
- Sound communication skills both verbal and written with a proven ability to translate technical information into effective and meaningful communication
- Solid project management skills
- Experience with budgeting
- Travel industry experience an advantage
- Effective leader with strong mentoring skills
- Specialist in the field of consumer marketing with Leisure specialism
- Experience with end to end planning and delivery of retail campaigns with proven experience with partnership campaigns
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Collaborative & adaptive approach
