We have an exciting opportunity for an Aboriginal AOD Worker to join our team 3 days per week, providing care coordination support to people at risk of harm due to alcohol and other drug use with a specific focus on Aboriginal young people, pregnant people and parents with young children. The Aboriginal AOD Worker will be a part of a specialist AOD multidisciplinary team based in Singleton and servicing the surrounding communities.

This role gives you an opportunity to:
- expand your case management and care coordination skills
- be a part of a multidisciplinary team in providing in evidence-based best practice and high quality AOD services
- build partnerships with AOD and mental health services and expand your networks.

- Aboriginality: Social Futures considers that being Aboriginal is a genuine occupational qualification under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act of 1977 (NSW)
- An understanding of and commitment to the Aboriginal communities respecting traditional culture, values, and ways of doing business
- APHRA registration as an Aboriginal Health Practitioner and / or Cert IV Aboriginal and or Torres Strait Islander Primary Health Care or similar is highly desirable
- Experience providing high quality person-centred assessment and support in an AOD service or similar setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with all people to ensure effective relationships.
- Demonstrated well-developed organisational, time management and administrative skills with the ability to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining professional boundaries while engaging in person-centred work.
