**About the School**:
Centenary State High School is a high quality state high school located in Brisbane's leafy, western suburb of Jindalee. Opened in 1999 the school has over 1750 students. The school immediately services the suburbs of Jindalee, Sinnamon Park, Mt Ommaney, Westlake, Middle Park, Jamboree Heights, Riverhills, Sumner and sections of Darra and Seventeen Mile Rocks.
About the Role
**Responsibilities include**:
- Cleaning windows, pictures, doorknobs, taps, sinks, drinking fountains, lavatory basins, glassware, glass doors and cupboards.
- Cleaning and sanitising toilet facilities and sick bays.
- Cleaning and maintaining equipment.
- Cobweb and mildew control, utilising extendable equipment as necessary.
- Cleaning of concrete, bitumen, asphalt and paved surfaces.
- Disposal of rubbish and litter control including removal of material from drains and gutters between and/or surrounding buildings.
- Dusting including student and office furniture, equipment and fans.
- Hosing.
- Removal of graffiti.
- Sweeping and vacuuming.
- Vinyl/timber floor maintenance including buffing, stripping and polishing.
- Other appropriate cleaning duties as directed by the Principal/Business Manager.

**Hours of Duty**:
There are two cleaning shifts per day at Centenary SHS - 5.00am & 9.00am and 2.00pm & 6.00pm. Shifts will be worked within these times however the shift length may vary.
**Shift Arrangement**:
If cleaning staff are required to work a morning shift AND an afternoon shift, they are eligible for the split shift allowance. This will be paid each day that the split shift is applicable.
**ADO Arrangements**:
The accumulation of ADO (Accrued Days Off) is a requirement of all permanent positions.ADO arrangements will be discussed and negotiated with the successful applicant.
**Leave Arrangements**: Recreation leave and sick leave will be accrued from the date of appointment.Conditions of Application:
- As this is a permanent position, applicants must be an Australian or NZ Citizen or hold a permanent residency visa. Individuals on a temporary visa cannot be appointed to permanent positions.
- Applicants must hold a current paid Working with Children Check (Blue Card).
