This is a OO2 progression position as per the Role Description. The successful applicant will be appointed to the OO2 classification with eligibility for progression to the OO3 level once specific criteria have been met. Please note salary rate shown is reflective of OO2 to OO3 classification range.
About Centenary State High School

About the Role
Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Maintain lawns, gardens, and school ovals through mowing, weeding, planting, watering, and fertilising;
Prepare and maintain outdoor sporting facilities (e.g. courts, fields, cricket pitches);
Set up and pack down spaces for school events, exams, assemblies, and other activities;
Carry out minor repairs and maintenance of furniture, equipment, and fixtures (excluding work requiring a qualified tradesperson);
Perform immediate-action cleaning tasks when cleaners are not rostered (e.g. spills, hygiene issues);
Clear drains and gutters; support waste collection and safe rubbish disposal;
Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements, including hazard reporting and safe use of equipment and chemicals;
Operate and maintain grounds care equipment (e.g. mowers, brush cutters, tractors) in line with service manuals;
Liaise with school staff, contractors, and service providers regarding facilities maintenance and lost property;
Assist with general school duties such as deliveries, receipting of supplies, stocktaking, and basic administrative support.
