**About the role**:
We are looking for an experienced Commercial Advisor to join our growing team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Commercial & Contracts Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to support commercial and procurement function within the Power Generation & Development.

**Duties**:

- Support the Commercial & Contracts Manager with the negotiation & ongoing management of maintenance contracts for Alinta’s generation assets.
- Take the lead and conduct budgeting and forecasting, to maintain the financial model to ensure costs are accurately reflected in budgets and forecasts.
- Manage and maintain FIRB compliance with the Power Generation FIRB Conditions Compliance Policy.
- Supporting the contracting of complex, high value and important commercial activities related to the Power Generation capital works program.
- Active participation in annual and procurement plans development and delivery.
- Support the management, negotiation & transaction of commercial opportunities with Alinta’s largest mining and network connected loads.

***Skills and experience**:

- Experience in a similar commercial or professional role in a fast-paced environment (energy experience highly desirable).
- Self-motivated, influential and ability to demonstrate strong negotiation, written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to manage a portfolio of contracts for the operations and maintenance of Alinta’s generation assets to maintain compliance with obligations and enforcement of rights under contracts.
- A tertiary qualification or equivalent to appropriate technical qualifications, Law, Economic, or business-related discipline.
- Experience with commercial management and familiarity with legal agreements.
