National Visual Merchandising Leader

Our client is a household-name retailer. Supported by a small team, this role will develop innovative Visual Merchandising (VM) strategies across a national network of stores, enhance customer experience, support sales, achieve brand consistency and excellence in in-store display. This is an office-based national role, so some travel is required.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead, mentor and develop the small VM team on a day-to-day basis through continual improvement strategies to meet deliverables targets, identifying opportunities for development, improvement and sustained high performance.
- Foster a culture of creativity, innovation and excellence within the VM team, driving engagement, knowledge sharing and inclusivity.
- Develop and deliver training tools and materials for store staff to ensure high standards of VM are maintained across all locations.
- Optimise and streamline all processes related to VM.
- Assist in the preparation of budgets for projects and P&L.
- Develop and implement VM strategies that align with company brand, vision and business objectives.
- Oversee the design, set-up and maintenance of in-store layouts and displays, ensuring that they are visually appealing and commercially effective.
- Collaborate and partner with stakeholders and other departments including Retail Design, Marketing, Products, Property and Retail Operations.
- VM projects management including new store openings, store renovations, seasonal campaigns and national business initiatives, etc.
- Stay up to date on industry trends and VM best practices.
- Review financial results and data to influence continual improvement and growth.

**Skills and Experience**:

- 5+ years in Visual Merchandising with 3+ years in a leadership role.
- 'Big box' experience in white goods, furniture and or homewares.
- Strong track record in Creating and implementing successful Visual Merchandising strategies.
- Used to working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and managing multiple projects.
- Experience in project management and change management.
- Budget management, planning and P&L experience.
- Bachelor's degree in visual Merchandising, Interior Design, Retail Management, or related field.
- Strong people skills - ability to create and communicate a vision, manage a small team and build relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and decision makers.
