TTI is currently seeking a Incoming Quality Control Manager to join our team in 1 Giba Drive, Kemps Creek NSW 2178. Reporting to the Senior Quality Engineer, your key duties will include:
**Key duties**
- Manage a team of quality inspectors in their daily activities - IGIR inspections, IQC inspections, Spot Checks.
- Develop and implement IQC processes and procedures to ensure consistent quality of incoming materials.
- Organizing daily tasks and schedules for quality inspectors
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of quality inspectors, providing guidance and support for daily operations.
- Compiling and analysing inspection data to generate quarterly reports on quality trends and performance metrics.
- Promote team morale and well-being by providing clear direction, accountable for safety, and maintaining professionalism and strong work ethics among team members, including punctuality.
- Mentor junior engineers and interns, fostering their professional development.
- Manage large-scale spot check inspections, kitting, and rework
- Planning & Coordination: Develop schedules and allocate labour hire/IQC resources to conduct technical rework and inspections.
- Develop, implement, and maintain efficient rework processes and procedures to ensure timely and quality-driven outcomes.
- Design and implement process improvements, equipment modifications, and layout changes to enhance productivity.
- Labour hire Training & Supervision: Train and supervise rework tasks to correct issues fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement
**Skills & qualifications**
- Minimum 3-5 years experience in a supervisory or management capacity with more than 1 direct report
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field is desirable.
- Experience in quality control or quality assurance.
- Experience in specific industry, e.g. power tools, manufacturing, electronics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders, both locally in DC, head office & Asia teams.
- Coaching and Development Skills in mentoring and providing feedback to help team members grow professionally.
- Strong time management abilities combined with exceptional organizational skills to efficiently handle tasks and meet deadlines.
- A hands-on, can-do attitude that is not afraid to jumping in and operate tools to support the team.
- Expertise in setting goals, monitoring progress, and evaluating employee performance.
