Your analytical skills will be essential as you undertake complex research, analysis, and evaluation of data to formulate sound and implementable recommendations. You will also be skilled in clearly presenting complex information to both technical and non-technical audiences. You will be curious about how the government can further its economic prosperity and wellbeing goals, and interested in making an impact in public policy outcomes.

Proactively building robust relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders is paramount, as is your contribution to improving the delivery of outcomes across the NSW Government through effective communication, collaboration, and advocacy with Treasury teams and agency counterparts.

**What you can bring to the role.**

In these integral roles there are a few things we would like for you to have to best support yourself and add value to the people of NSW.

You will be successful in these roles if you have:

- Knowledge of and/or professional experience in economics, econometrics, statistics, public policy, law, or another relevant field. Relevant tertiary qualifications are highly regarded but not essential if knowledge / experience can otherwise be demonstrated.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of economic advice and analysis, with particular experience in cost-benefit analysis, micro-economic reform, competition policy or regulatory reform being highly regarded.
- The ability to work across diverse policy issues to support economic and/or policy advice, with familiarity and experience in at least one of the following areas:

- Policy development and analysis
- Economics
- Econometrics / Forecasting
- Evaluation
- Cost-Benefit Analysis
