Brisbane, Australia Sunlight Speech Therapy Full time

**Role Overview**:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate Allied Health Assistant to work alongside our experienced Speech Pathologist. In this role, you will assist in delivering speech therapy services to children in various settings, including homes, schools, and daycares. Your primary responsibility will be to support the implementation of therapy plans devised by the Speech Pathologist, helping children achieve their communication goals in a supportive and engaging environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist the Speech Pathologist in preparing and delivering therapy sessions.
- Implement therapy activities as directed by the Speech Pathologist.
- Engage with children to encourage participation and progress during sessions.
- Monitor and document children's progress and report findings to the Speech Pathologist.
- Provide feedback to parents, teachers, and caregivers under the guidance of the Speech Pathologist.
- Maintain a safe, positive, and encouraging environment for all children.
- Travel to various locations, including homes, schools, and daycares, to provide services.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance or a Speech Pathology student in 3rd or 4th year of study.
- Previous experience working with children, particularly in a health or educational setting, is highly desirable.
- A passion for working with children and helping them achieve their goals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle for travel between service locations.
- Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
