The Allied Health Team at North West Private Hospital has an opportunity for an Allied Health Assistant to join the team on a casual basis

**About the Role**

As an Allied Health Assistant, you will work under the guidance and direction of our supportive allied health professionals in assisting with patient treatments, administrative tasks and the maintenance of department equipment.

**About You**

This role will suit an individual with experience in patient manual handling along with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively will be key to your success in this role along with the ability to work effectively as part of a professional team.

An interest or experience in occupational therapy would be particularly useful for this role. Occupational Therapy students are encouraged to apply

**Your Skills and Experience**
- Previous patient care experience in a hospital environment or similar is highly desirable
- A Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance (Students working towards qualifications as an Allied Health Therapist will be considered)
- A desire to learn and a strong work ethic
- Monday through Friday availability
- Currently completing an undergraduate allied health or health relevant university course will be highly regarded, particularly OT students.
- Client-first attitude with a desire to assist our patients in obtaining the best possible outcomes for their health.

**Requirements**:

- Must be **vaccinated against Covid-19, **a vaccine approved by the Australian Technical Advisory Group on Immunisation
- _Must provide a _**National Police** check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a **Working-With-Children** check and **proof of immunisation** against infectious diseases
