Over the next year we have two exciting coffeebar locations opening, so we're on the hunt for an experienced Retail Operations Manager to lead the charge and make their indelible mark on our shops.

Are you passionate about great coffee, have a knack for leadership, and can effortlessly blend people and processes? Fieldwork Coffee is on the hunt for an experienced Retail Operations Manager who is ready to make an indelible mark on our upcoming retail coffee locations.

In this role, your mission will be to foster a culture of hospitality, turning our upcoming retail locations into bustling hubs that respect the growers, showcase our coffee, and engage our customers. With your retail acumen, you'll shape our service and drink standards, ensuring consistency across multiple locations. You’ll also serve as the vital link between our roasting team and retail staff, ensuring we deliver informed, sincere in-store customer service.

Key responsibilities will encompass recruitment, training, and leading our coffee bar staff, and overseeing drink and service standards. You will also contribute significantly to retail coffee sales and knowledge dissemination between the roastery and our coffee bars.

We're looking for individuals with high-level coffee-making skills, a history of effective team leadership, and a strong grasp of developments in global specialty coffee. Proficiency in retail operations and systems optimisation is also a must.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and standardise drink and service protocols, ensuring consistency across all multiple locations.
- Act as the knowledge bridge between our roasting team and retail staff, enhancing in-store customer service.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and leadership of our coffee bar team.
- Drive in-store retail coffee bean sales and uphold service standards.
- Maintain an active engagement between the coffee bars and our roastery.
- Formulate short-term and mid-term operational strategies focusing on opening new locations, their development and their staffing.
- Long-term focus on refining processes, spearheading new initiatives, and optimising efficiency. Actively explore fresh opportunities and contribute to a structured bonus plan.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Advanced high-level coffee-making skills, refined through substantial experience.
- Demonstrable track record in team development and management.
- Deep awareness of global specialty coffee developments.
- Proven expertise in systematising retail operations.

**Offer**:

- Full-time position with a starting salary of $70,000, plus superannuation.
- Company laptop provided.
- Work schedule will include weekends and occasional bank holidays.
- Minimum commitment of 12 months is essential.
