**Portfolio Lead - NSW Government**

A Portfolio Lead is required by a NSW Government Department in Sydney CBD (hybrid WFH) on an initial 6 month contract. Pay rate: $1100 - $1400 per day + super. This role sits within an Investment and Portfolio team responsible for developing the planning and delivery pipeline through provision of an efficient and effective interface between asset strategy, planning, development and delivery functions.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Support the management of the team’s portfolio across the entire project lifecycle
- Collaborate with a number of internal and external stakeholders to understand the strategic landscape of the organisation, identified community needs, asset and growth requirements along with internal resource constraints for investment
- Drive business as usual portfolio management functions whilst identifying areas for improvement and developing new processes and methodologies
- Work with stakeholders to facilitate workshops and lessons learnt discussions to drive portfolio management maturity
- Support other functions within Investment and Portfolio such as asset management, benefits realisation, funding submissions and program management

**Selection criteria**:

- Relevant tertiary-level qualifications
- Portfolio development experience
- Ability to translate technical understanding into business and program delivery
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Proven ability to communicate tactfully and diplomatically with people at all levels
- Ability to work with a high level of autonomy and determine key operational objectives
- Understanding of project and portfolio management principles
