Exciting new opportunity for a Contract Manager to join our Transport division supporting a major roads project
About the Role

Works to revitalise one of Melbourne’s busiest transport links, Transurban’s 3.4km Burnley Tunnel have commenced. In an Australian-first, the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project will see state-of-the-art pacemaker lighting installed to act as visual cues to help drivers maintain a consistent speed, as well as transforming the lighting with brighter, more energy efficient LEDs.

The Contract Manager will be responsible for the formation and administration of supply contracts, and sub-contracts in relation to the execution of work methodology pertaining to the delivery of the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project.

Nature of position: 12 Month Maximum Term, Full Time

Location: Collins Street, Melbourne

Reporting Line: ITS National Operations Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the project achieves stated financial and operational objectives
- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial forecasts
- Ensuring sub-contractor payments are processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Responsible for ensuring client Invoicing is processed accurately and in a timely manner
- Planning and co-ordinating all daily tasks associated with the scheduling, approval, validation and completion of work orders to ensure efficient flow of work
- Develop positive client relationships and act as key point of contact
- Attending customer meetings, keeping copies of agendas and minutes. Ensure action items expected of the company contained in those minutes are adhered to.
- Managing operational internal issues including building relationships with internal clients to ensure issues are promptly rectified and meet the projects requirements (i.e. IT and Logistics)
- Promote a systematic approach to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Issues and adhere to all HSE Policies & Procedures

About You

To be successful in this role, you have demonstrated experience in a Contract Management or Operational based role with exposure to people management. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Strong experience in Contract, Customer and Client Management
- Organisational and Workforce planning experience
- Business, financial reporting and budgeting skills
- High level interpersonal and communication - persuading and influencing - skills
- Experience in problem solving and dealing with complex issues
