Exciting new opportunity for a Quality Manager to join our Transport division supporting a major roads project
About the Role

Works to revitalise one of Melbourne’s busiest transport links, Transurban’s 3.4km Burnley Tunnel have commenced. In an Australian-first, the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project will see state-of-the-art pacemaker lighting installed to act as visual cues to help drivers maintain a consistent speed, as well as transforming the lighting with brighter, more energy efficient LEDs.

The Intelligent Transport Systems Quality Manager will be responsible for the formation and administration of the quality management system in relation to the execution of work methodology pertaining to the delivery of the Burnley Tunnel Upgrade Project.

Nature of position: 12 Month Maximum Term, Full Time

Location: Collins Street, Melbourne

Reporting Line: Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage the Project Quality Plan
- Nominate and roll out Quality Management System for the Project
- Review and issue Inspection Test Plans and associated checklist sheets for the Project
- Create and update quality guidelines, bulletins & acceptable solutions for continuous improvement
- Managing prompt non-conformance rectification & closure
- Responsible for client & internal document management including version & integrity control & communications.
- Co-ordinate and support onsite builds, audits and corrective actions communications.
- Act central point of contact for subcontractors and coordinate handover documents
- Ensure verification of documents received by subcontractors prior to issuing subcontractor payment advice to Project Engineers
- Maintain high levels of data integrity in all Service Stream and client databases where required
- Liaise directly with project stakeholders to define and deliver contract requirements as required

About You

To be successful in this role, you have demonstrated experience in working with Quality Management Systems and have technical knowledge of ITS and/or related electrical fields. You will also demonstrate and possess the following:

- Prior experience working with ITS assets is highly desirable
- Experience in DoT or similar quality processes
- Excellent organisational skills with a high level of attention to details
- High level interpersonal and communication skills
