Are you looking to start a new career?
The early years of a child's life are the most important; this is when they develop motor, sensory and social skills, and start to learn about the world. Do you want a career where you go to work every day knowing you are planting the seeds for the next generation?
We are looking for childcare trainees to undertake a Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care course over 18 months, whilst working full time with us and training on the job.
**We have positions available at our Dural, Glenwood, Vineyard, Rouse Hill, Turramurra, and our **Warrawee centres.**
A traineeship is a great way to join the industry and earn a qualification along the way. There is also a pathway to university to undertake a degree in Early Childhood Education via Diploma study after the completion of a Certificate III.
The right trainee will be:
- Loving, caring, out-going, creative, imaginative, accountable, silly but be responsible at the same time.
- Be an artist, scientist, engineer, interior decorator, psychologist, mathematician, gardener, and a farmer.
- Enjoy playing in mud, wet sand, and shaving cream; love crawling around on hands and knees, meowing like a cat, or slithering like a snake.
- Can do ten things at once and have eyes in the back of your head.
- Able to change pants and nappies with a smile; able to read endless stories with excitement.
- Confident talking to parents and families.
- Never tire of giving a hand, even when not asked and being receptive to constructive criticism.
- Be an Australian citizen/permanent resident.
- Be 17 years old or over and have completed the HSC (or equivalent).
- Have excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Not hold or be studying towards any other qualifications in Early Childhood Education &
Care.
- Be willing to obtain or already hold a Working with Children Check.
- Have a genuine love for children, want to nurture them to help them to learn and grow.
- Be computer literate.
- Have strong communication skills.
- Have a commitment to ongoing professional development.
**As a trainee you will fall under the National Training Wage.**
Fit Kidz is a child safe organisation and follows the National Principles.
