Procurement Lead required for Value Engineering Project (non-traditional procurement)

This mining client is looking for a Procurement Lead to join their team to assist them with a value chain project.

They are looking for a self-motivated go getter who is able to manage own work and deliver on spend reduction financial targets.

**Duties**:

- Identifies areas of opportunity to reduce cost and add value in all business streams of the operating mine department
- Develops plan and engages stakeholders to execute on the plan to deliver value opportunity projects
- Uses creative ways to leverage value from commercial arrangements
- Executes on market engagement with suppliers in various forms as and when required to deliver value
- Drafts and executes resulting supply contracts as and when required and transitions these into operations
- Identifies areas of opportunity to reduce cost and add value through production uplift in all business streams of the operating mine department
- Develops plan and engages stakeholders to execute on the plan to deliver value opportunity projects
- Uses creative ways to leverage value from commercial arrangements and implement new technology from suppliers to create measurable value.

**Skills**:

- Strong investigative and analytical skills used to find and assess opportunities for change and create value
- Ability to manage own work and deliver on spend reduction and revenue uplift financial targets
- Able to manage multiple initiatives in the pipeline concurrently
- Demonstrated category strategy development and implementation in the mining industry
- Executes on market engagement with suppliers in various forms as and when required to deliver value
- Drafts and executes resulting supply contracts as and when required and transitions these into operations
- Able to manage multiple initiatives in the pipeline concurrently

Initially you will be on a contract basis with a day rate in the range of $750 - $800 per day depending on experience. But would lead to a permanent role for the right person. The work arrangements are very flexible with the option to work from home.
