**Job Description**:
**About the Opportunity**

Key responsibilities of this position include:

- Provide strategic leadership and management of research and external engagement activities
- Develop and implement the School Strategic Research Plan
- Build the School’s research culture and capacity
- Facilitate research training within the School
- Build productive and sustainable research partnerships.

The initial term is for a period of 3 years, with an underlying continuing Professorial appointment at Level E.

**About You**
To be successful in this position you will demonstrate:

- A PhD in a relevant field
- A research track record that is internationally competitive
- High level leadership skills and experience managing research
- Outstanding communication skills with the ability to influence outcomes
- Previous success in supporting the development and implementation of research plans in a multidisciplinary environment
- A passion in guiding and mentoring staff in the achievement of research objectives and to foster multidisciplinary and international collaboration
