**About the Position**

Girton Grammar School is seeking an enthusiastic Student Support Officer (SSO) to assist students with literacy, numeracy and communication skills, in a classroom setting. This is a short-term leave replacement position that provides the perfect opportunity to build professional relationships and gain valuable experience in education.
- The role is a fixed-term leave replacement position for Term 2 only.
- 22/04/2025 until 27/06/2025.
- The role is 31.25 hours per week (0.82 FTE).

As the SSO you will:

- Support students under the direct instruction of the teaching staff.
- Assist in the implementation of planned education programs, supporting the literacy, numeracy, communication skills and physical needs of students at risk.
- Develop professional relationships with staff, parents and students.

**Key Selection Criteria**
- Certificate III in Education Support or equivalent relevant experience desirable.
- Working with Children Check Card (Employee)
- Excellent administrative and organisational skills with an ability to work collaboratively and respectfully as part of a team
- Commitment to student wellbeing and child safety, demonstrating an understanding of appropriate behaviours when engaging with children, including children with diverse needs and backgrounds
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Sound written and verbal communication skills.
