**Department Summary**

The Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) consists of a team of quality and safety professionals who work closely and collaboratively with clinical and operational leaders and teams to foster a culture of risk management, clinical effectiveness and continuous improvement. CGU strategically supports implementation of the clinical governance program across Alfred Health to drive delivery of safe and high-quality patient centred care. The Clinical Governance Unit consists of three staff streams:

- Risk Management
- Quality and Safety Data Systems
- Quality Standards and Improvement

**Position Summary**

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic patient safety and quality professional to join the Clinical Governance Unit at Alfred Health. This well supported role offers the opportunity to further develop knowledge and skills across clinical governance in a large complex organisation. The National Standards Lead supports the systematic implementation of quality and safety processes that enable the delivery of patient centered, high quality care with a focus on NSQHS Standards. The role works closely with the Quality Operations Manager and key stakeholders to embed the National Standards and to ensure organisational readiness for SNAP Accreditation.

**Experience and Qualifications Required**

**_ Essential_**
- An experienced health professional with current knowledge of and experience in patient safety & quality improvement within complex health services
- Tertiary qualification in health
- Experience in a clinical discipline
- Experience successfully working as part of a team and autonomously

**_ Desirable_**
- Experience in project and change management
